First, we will examine and x-ray your teeth to determine if you are a candidate for porcelain veneers. If you are a candidate, from start to finish, we will involve you in the process of ensuring you get the smile transformation you want.
We will show you a smiling guide—pictures of smile designs to help you make decisions about the look of your smile makeover. You will see different shades and styles of porcelain veneers. Then you can decide—how bright do you want your smile to be? What length do you prefer for your teeth? Do you want your smile to convey warmth, boldness, or sophistication? Or perhaps you prefer a sporty smile. These are the details that help personalize your smile and make it natural looking.
As you describe what you want people to see when you smile, we will listen closely. We will combine your input with our experience to create a smile that you will love. A wax model of your smile will be made so you can see how the final product will look. We will ask you what you love about the model, as well as what you don’t like. Anything you don’t like will be changed.
After you approve the wax model, you may wear provisional, or temporary, veneers to see how your porcelain veneers will look and feel. In fact, during the entire process of creating your ideal smile, if you have any hesitation about it, we will make adjustments, or completely remake it. Our goal is to "wow" you with your smile design, so even when the final design is produced, if you don’t absolutely love it, we will change it or have it completely redone before it’s bonded to your teeth.
